Dr. Preston S. Patterson

Dr. Preston S. Patterson began Pastoral Ministry in 1999 in the Guyana Conference of Seventh-day Adventist. He served one year on special assignment in Kentucky USA in the South Central Conference of Seventh-day Adventist under the then president Mckoy, before accepting a call to return to his home Conference. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2009 in the Seventh-day Adventist church and had the privilege of planning 5 new congregations to the glory of God.

Dr. Patterson served as the Ministerial Association President of the Guyana Conference and privileged to have done evangelistic series in various parts of the world including the Caribbean, Mexico, South America, United States, and Canada – British Columbia, Montreal and Toronto – to name a few.

He had the distinct honour of attending Oakwood University, University of the Southern Caribbean, Andrews University, Canada Christian College, and University of Toronto. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Theology, Master of Theological Studies and Doctor of Ministry degrees, he is a certified Pastoral Counselor whose hobby includes flying small Cessna aircrafts.

Currently he serves as a pastor in the Ontario Conference and is the founder and speaker of the “Power of the WORD” daily devotionals which are aired every morning on YouTube. His marriage to the former Melanie Mitchell produced two daughters – Preiola and Premela.

He loves evangelism and is dedicated to the Lord. Please keep him in prayer.
